Dementia Fundamentals

Fire Safety in Assisted Living Facilities

HIV/AIDS for Care Providers

This course will provide the care provider relevant knowledge about HIV and AIDS. Demographic, geographic, and incident rate data is presented. To assist in their care of residents, care providers will obtain knowledge on the HIV/AIDS clinical signs, symptoms, modes of transmission, risk factors, prevention, and screening and diagnosis. Common HIV medical complications are presented. The participant will receive an overview of how the HIV virus duplicates and the general classes of drugs that target each stage of HIV replication. Universal precautions and care facility considerations are presented to help care providers minimize accidental occupational exposure.

Progress Report on Alzheimer's Disease

Sexual Harassment

VRE - Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococcus - This course discusses vancomycin-resistant enterococcus (VRE) bacteria in great detail. Incidence of infection, pathophysiology, transmission, detection, and disease management will all be presented. California Continuing
Education Requirements

LCSWs and MFCCs
36 hours of continuing education. Those who are renewing for the first time require 18 hours of CE to renew. All hours may be taken online.

Licensed Vocational Nurses
30 hours of continuing education (CE) every two years. All hours may be taken online.

Nursing Home Administrators
40 hours of continuing education every two years. 10 hours shall be in the area of patient care or aging ("P hours"). All hours may be taken online.

RCFE Administrators
40 hours of continuing education every two years. Up to 20 of those hours may be taken online.

bullet RCFE Administrators Possessing a Valid NHA License
Certificate holders who possess a valid Nursing Home Administrator license shall be required to complete only twenty (20) of the required forty (40) hours of continuing education.
